Anaesthesia
General or regional anaesthesia is available
depending on the specific surgery and your overall health
status. For finding the best decision, we need your information
and concerns in advance.
Of course, pain relief is most important
for successful ambulatory surgery. The ”pain-killers”
we recommend, should not interfere with your vital body functions
or make you sleepy.
In the evening of the day of surgery you
will need a friend or family member with you. We want to know
the name of that person, as well as the name and phone number
of the place where you are staying over-night.
Last but least, we want to be sure you
make no business decisions on the day of surgery, drink no
alcohol or take any drugs, what so ever. We distinctly forbid
any driving until the next day.
On the day of surgery ask for advice before
taking prescription drugs/medications you normally take. Please
do not take sleeping pills or tranquilizer!!!
In your first consultation choices of
surgery and risk will be discussed in detail with you. For
specific consultation we require your information in advance. Therefore
we require a check list to be filled out in advance!
